The KMT expresses sincere congratulations to President-elect Yoon Suk-yeol.

On behalf of the KMT, party Chairman Eric Chu, expressed his sincere congratulations to Mr. Yoon Suk-yeol, the candidate of the People Power Party, on his election as the 20th President of the Republic of Korea.

Chairman Chu said that both People Power Party and KMT are the largest opposition parties in their respective countries. Both parties have the same responsibility to supervise the ruling party for the welfare of the people.

We, the KMT, look forward to deeper and broader interactions with Mr. Yoon Suk-yeol and the People Power Party.

Chairman Chu emphasized that the Republic of Korea is a great partner of Taiwan in various fields such as economics, trade, society, and culture, and that the Republic of China and the Republic of Korea have a very profound friendship as well. He looks forward to more cooperation and exchanges between the two countries in the future under Mr. Yoon’s leadership. Finally, Chairman Chu once again extends his congratulations to Mr. Yoon.
